I’m learning some clever tips from my mother-in-law 🤯🙈 Her washing machine is in perfect condition, and now we know how to keep ours in great shape too! 🧺🧼👕 It’s amazing how small changes can make such a difference 😨 Uncover more in this article 👇
It happens! While my friends are busy having issues with their mothers-in-law, we’re learning a lot from ours. Why not, especially when the woman is modern, interesting, and an amazing person? My wife is young, just out of school, and my mother-in-law gently shows us how to manage the household.
Once, we decided to clean the washing machine in the rented apartment. It’s hard to tell how old it is since the previous tenants didn’t take much care of it. But my mother-in-law immediately noticed that I tried to clean it up. The filter was sorted out, but how to clean the yellowed detergent compartment?
She just smiled, went to the kitchen, and brought out some citric acid, which she dissolved in boiling water. After letting the solution cool, she poured it over the compartment.
While we enjoyed our tea and cake, an hour passed, and all the dirt started coming off. The acid also helped get rid of the mold. Ideally, the compartment should have been spotless, but our washing machine still needed some work.
Next time, my mother-in-law came with a pack of soda ash. We mixed it with regular baking soda, stirred it into hot water, let it cool, and soaked the compartment in the solution. Then, we scrubbed the stains with a brush.
It was genius! No need for fiddling around or scrubbing the tray. My pregnant wife didn’t have to breathe in any store-bought chemicals, and the solution worked while we sipped tea. Just rinse, and the dirt disappears as if it was never there! So, listen to your mother-in-law sometimes, because they really have some useful tips!
