A cat named Simon is quickly becoming a star on social media. He lives in the Chilean city of Punta Arenas and surprises his owner, Benjamin Sagredo, with some unusual behavior. One of the strangest things? Instead of chasing away a mouse, Simon decided to make friends with it.

Simon was raised with two sheepdogs, so he picked up their gentle and friendly nature.

Benjamin had been hearing strange sounds from the kitchen but didn’t think much of it. “Probably just a mouse,” he thought. “But I’ve got a cat—he’ll deal with it.” That’s why what happened next was such a surprise.

One day, Benjamin walked past the kitchen and was shocked by what he saw.
