Ivanka Trump skipped the predictable sun-soaked celebrity getaway and took her family somewhere far cooler. The 44-year-old daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump traveled to Iceland with husband Jared Kushner, 45, and their three children, trading crowded beaches for waterfalls, green valleys and dramatic Nordic scenery.
The mother of three later opened up her vacation album on social media. The photos offered unusually personal glimpses of the trip, from family adventures with Arabella, Joseph and Theodore to affectionate moments between Ivanka and Jared.
The famous Blue Lagoon was among their stops, and Ivanka posed there with her sons. Despite Iceland’s chilly reputation, there was no need to brave freezing water: the geothermal lagoon normally reaches around 37 to 40°C. Its unmistakable milky-blue color is largely created by its high silica content.
But some of the most eye-catching photos weren’t about the scenery at all. Ivanka and Jared were captured embracing in front of waterfalls and picturesque country houses, giving their family vacation a surprisingly romantic edge. After nearly two decades together, the couple appeared determined to make time for each other.

Their relationship began in 2007, and they married on October 25, 2009. This year marks their 17th wedding anniversary. They welcomed Arabella Rose in 2011, Joseph Frederick in 2013 and their youngest child, Theodore James, in 2016.

During Donald Trump’s first presidential term, both held senior advisory positions in the White House, but Ivanka later stepped away from active politics and began sharing more about travel, sports and life with her family.
