“Get a Job First”: Ben Affleck Tells His Kids No to Expensive Gifts Without Hard Work

“$500 sneakers? Not on Dad’s watch.” 👟 Ben Affleck’s viral moment with his son is sparking major debate — should wealthy parents make their kids work for what they want? The actor’s strict-but-loving approach is raising eyebrows… and maybe setting a new Hollywood parenting standard. See what fans are saying in the article below 👇

Ben Affleck is a devoted father, but he doesn’t believe in spoiling his kids. He’s convinced that being firm and setting limits is important to help them grow into responsible adults.

Even though Affleck has a large fortune, he wants his children to understand the value of hard work. His daughters, Violet (19) and Serafina (16), are already learning to earn their own money. “Serafina just got a job, the kind most teenagers have, working in a store. I’m not going to say which one. My oldest is also working and looking for a summer internship,” he said during an appearance on “Today with Jenna and Friends.”

Recently, a video of Ben went viral. In it, he’s seen refusing to buy expensive sneakers for his son Samuel. Instead, he encouraged the boy to get a part-time job and save for them himself. This strict but thoughtful parenting sparked a lot of discussion online.

Ben shares all three of his kids with actress Jennifer Garner. The couple were married from 2003 to 2015. Their breakup was partly due to Ben’s struggles with alcohol and a reported affair with their nanny, Christina Uzunyan. Despite their divorce, Ben and Jennifer stayed close to co-parent their children.

Now that Ben’s relationship with Jennifer Lopez appears to be over, he’s been spending more time with Garner. There are even rumors that he plans to cast her in an upcoming movie project.
