Here’s how it works: while you’re simply relieving yourself after a few beers, a staff member may quietly walk up behind you and begin massaging your shoulders. That’s right — you’re not imagining things, it’s part of the “experience.”
All of this comes at a symbolic price — just 20 baht (around 50 cents) — for what’s jokingly described as “maximum relaxation.” Of course, it raises a question: how relaxed can you really get while someone’s rubbing your back in a public restroom?
