When the apartment renovation first began, nobody expected the biggest transformation to happen on the balcony.
For years, the space had basically turned into a storage dump filled with random boxes, old вещи and things nobody wanted to throw away “just in case.” Little by little, the balcony disappeared under the clutter completely.
At first glance, it honestly looked hopeless.

The structure was reinforced, and the entire balcony received new energy-efficient glazing. That alone immediately changed how the space felt.
Next came the flooring. Instead of something plain, patchwork-style tiles in a monochrome color palette were chosen to keep the area calm, modern and visually clean without overwhelming the small size.
One side of the balcony was turned into built-in storage steps with soft cushions on top, creating a comfortable little seating area. On the opposite side, a large cabinet finally solved the long-running problem of clutter and storage.
Careful planning made the balcony not only beautiful but practical too, with plenty of hidden space for everyday items.
The final touch came from stylish metal-frame light fixtures, which gave the balcony a warm atmosphere in the evenings.
Now the space feels completely different.
Instead of a forgotten storage corner, it became a place for tea, books, work or simply sitting quietly by the window — proof that even the worst-looking balcony can turn into something beautiful with enough patience and imagination.
