The former couple officially finalized their divorce in January 2026, bringing an end to a relationship that had lasted for almost two decades. Since then, the 59-year-old actress has mostly avoided drawing attention to what comes next — until a recent sighting in Italy suddenly put her back in the headlines.
During her stay at an Italian hotel, Kidman was seen spending time with Michael Reinstein, a businessman who founded and leads the Beverly Hills private equity company Regent.
Their interaction appeared warm and easygoing, with the pair smiling as they spoke. Reinstein was also photographed near Kidman’s window, where he briefly reached toward the exterior metal grating before departing the area.
But it wasn’t simply the mystery man that caught everyone’s attention. Reinstein was casually dressed in a blue shirt, shorts and sunglasses, while Kidman appeared at the window in what looked like a delicate silky nightgown — a contrast that quickly overshadowed everything else.
