Ivanka Trump made another striking fashion statement during an official appearance connected with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit. The daughter of US President Donald Trump stepped out in an elaborate creation by celebrated Chinese designer Guo Pei, choosing a look that was anything but conventional.
The 44-year-old opted for a rich robin’s-egg blue, wearing a dress with a coordinating cape. The unusual construction immediately set the outfit apart, with four prominent square pockets positioned across the chest and hips.
Intricate white embroidery ran across the blue fabric, bringing even more detail to the ensemble. The matching outer piece continued the same decorative theme, while dramatic bell-shaped sleeves gave the silhouette an almost theatrical quality.
