A trip to Amsterdam has brought fresh attention to Tiphaine Auzière’s personal life. Brigitte Macron’s 42-year-old daughter shared moments from the getaway with Antoine Lecomte, a business student aged 22, effectively confirming their romance. The couple’s two-decade age difference has also led some observers to draw parallels with Brigitte’s own relationship.
Their romance began during the summer in Le Touquet, where Antoine had taken a seasonal job teaching kitesurfing. Their connection reportedly began after he taught Tiphaine to ride an electric surfboard, and they quickly bonded over travel, adventure and business. The romance has since become serious enough for Tiphaine to introduce Antoine to her children, Élise, 12, and Aurèle, 10.

The new romance follows a period of considerable change in Tiphaine’s personal life. In January 2025, she and her longtime partner Antoine Choteau went their separate ways, ending a civil partnership that had begun in 2010. Tiphaine was subsequently romantically connected to television presenter Cyril Hanouna, although that relationship came to an end in May 2026.

Tiphaine and Antoine’s 20-year age difference has inevitably drawn comparisons with Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron, who are 25 years apart. The Macrons first met in Amiens when Emmanuel was 15 and studying at La Providence, where the then-39-year-old Brigitte taught. She was married at the time and had three children, including nine-year-old Tiphaine.

Brigitte and André-Louis Auzière officially went their separate ways in 2006. The following year, she wed Emmanuel Macron, who was 29 at the time, while she was 54. Tiphaine has since described her mother and stepfather as her example of love, once saying, “When they are together, it is almost as if the world around them doesn’t exist.”

Brigitte is said to be happy that her daughter has found someone who makes her happy and is looking forward to meeting Antoine. Whatever comes next, Tiphaine’s new romance has already ensured that the family’s famous age-gap love story is back in the spotlight.
