Salma Hayek marked her 60th birthday on September 2 in a way few fans were expecting. Instead of a traditional glamorous birthday portrait, the Hollywood star shared a striking new series of photos taken during a seaside getaway.
In the images, Hayek poses nude in the water, smiling and gazing into the distance. She kept the moment completely natural, going without makeup and wearing her hair loose.
Turning 60 was clearly an emotional milestone for the actress. Alongside the intimate photos, she summed up her feelings simply: “I’m 60 and full of gratitude.”
Hayek became an international star through films including “Desperado,” “From Dusk Till Dawn,” “Dogma” and “Frida.” Her portrayal of Frida Kahlo earned her an Academy Award nomination, while her collaborations with Quentin Tarantino also became a memorable part of her Hollywood career.
