A Brave Cat From Thailand Chases an Elephant Out of His Yard

A three-year-old cat named Simba who lives in Thailand surprised lots of people many times. He managed to drive away a huge elephant which decided to appear in his garden. This story perfectly illustrates the ability of the creatures who defend their own territory.

Simba wasn’t embarrassed at all that an elephant could trample such a large creature. He boldly moved towards the huge animal which wandered into the garden in search of food for himself. Simba accustomed to being a watchdog cat who defends his home. The elephant had already trampled the vegetation and knocked down a couple of trees, but when he saw the cat he backed down.

The local population is well acquainted with the elephant named Pai Salik. He is already 35 years old.  The elephant lives in the forest, but often comes to the yards to find something tasty. The inhabitants are already accustomed to the forest dweller. The caretaker of the local park says that all the residents of the city are already familiar with him and are ready that he can break into someone’s home.

The owner of Simba said that his pet hates when someone violates his territory. The cat’s temper is quite aggressive and he can easily drive away any creature he doesn’t like.

Experts believe that in Thailand more than 2,000 elephants live in the wild alone and the same number live in zoos. In this country elephants live under special protection and must be treated with respect.
