As the employees of the PetCo store in Los Angeles were walking down the street after work they noticed a puppy running past them and it was clear that her owner wasn’t nearby. The workers examined the animal but there was neither a collar nor a leash on her so the rescuers came to the only probable solution in this situation. That was one of the employees took the dog to her home so that later either they could find its owner or a new home. First of all the woman took the puppy to the veterinarian clinic where it turned out that it was a 10 months old girl. Besides she turned out to be an extremely energetic person.
A few days later a place was found for the dog in a shelter from where the new owners were supposed to pick her up.

A new family was found for her very soon who however wasn’t aware of the fact that such a small body contains a huge amount of energy.
At first, when the puppy began to destroy and smash everything around her no one paid much attention to it.

But over time it became clear that it wasn’t so easy to cope with this dog so the new owners had to return the baby back to the shelter.
Since the dog was young and extremely adorable she was immediately taken into the second family.

However, the situation repeated here as well. The cutie gnawed the furniture, scratched floors and made chaos in the house. This was done became the doggy was abandoned again.
The shelter workers even began to fear that the puppy would never find an owner.

When Leonora Andzaldua decided to take the dog for herself, she was warned that the puppy had already been refused twice.

However, this did not bother the woman at all, so the dog moved to live with her and began to be called Penny.
Soon, Leonora realized why Penny was abandoned by her previous owners.

When Leonora’s house was almost in ruins she realized that Penny had a desire to destroy everything around her because she simply had nothing to do with herself. Therefore, the hostess took up training the dog.
Penny learned such simple commands as “sit” and “lie down” very quickly so the tasks had to be complicated.

Leonora decided that the usual dog tricks aren’t the limit for the cutie to teach her to distinguish the objects by shape. Over time, Penny even learned how to assemble the word “dog” from a set of letters for children.
Later, in response to the question “Who are you?” Penny learned to confidently write her name out of letters.

One of the Penny’s most recent accomplishments is counting to ten using toy numbers.

And Leonora believes that this isn’t the limit of her pet’s abilities but the most important thing is that Penny has become much calmer and he no longer smashes everything on her way thanks to all these activities!
