The kitten who was picked up in the yard made the family fall in love with him and convinced them to adopt him along with his best friend.
A four-week-old baby who was dehydrated and covered in mud was screaming outside someone’s house. He was taken to the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando.
“We don’t know how he got there but he definitely had nothing to do with this place. He was thoroughly bathed several times at the shelter,” says volunteer Alyssa Dehart.
The kitten named Mu-Mu needed overexposure, so Alissa and her family took him away.
“We went in and he rolled over onto his back, pulling the legs out of the carrier towards us. It really seemed to be love at first sight!”
When people were about to go home with Mu-Mu another cutie who was of about the same age appeared to their eyes.
“The shelter is, of course, overcrowded during the kitten season, so we volunteered to take both of them,” says Alissa. The second kitty was affectionately nicknamed Boo Boo.
Mu-Mu was so skin when he first appeared at the shelter and he was limited in movement due to one of his hind legs. Good food, medicine and love were beneficial to the cute kitten and he became stronger and began to use the problem paw more freely.
“He quickly acquired a big tummy which can be seen to this day. The boy loves to eat! “
“Mu-Mu immediately seemed to be such a sociable and fearless creature. But Boo-Boo was very shy and hissed as well. “
“My parents weren’t against of adopting a kitten that would get along with our one-year-old catty named Clara. When they first saw Mu-Mu they realized that he would stay here, no matter how the situation with his leg would be resolved,” says Alissa.
“As we already had for catties at home we doubted whether we were ready to expand our family this way but it was very difficult to imagine this couple apart”.
One of Boo Boo’s unique features is his skin color. As he grew, the hair on his face, legs and tail started to darken.
As the days passed, the bond between the two kittens grew stronger and Boo Boo began to trust people more and he was added to the lists for adoption.
Three days passed and nobody was willing to adopt Boo Boo. “It seemed to be a sign that we should leave Boo Boo next to his brother.”
The two best friends have officially become members of the same family.
“Although they are not biological brothers their brotherly and friendly ties are undeniable. Boo Boo was a hissing boy when he got here! It took him weeks accept our love! “- tells the owner.
“Today Boo Boo is the more outgoing of the two cutie! He always wants to be involved in everything we do,” says Alissa.
“Mu-Mu masterfully tramples with his paws. He will cry in bed so that you lay down on his special blanket and he could fiddle with him. He expresses everything so loudly. “
“It is difficult to guess where the adopted cuties came from and what they went through but we are the one who guarantees that they will spend the rest of their days in love, comfort and with a bunch of snacks! “
