A girl named Morgan Mackenzie was out for a walk outside a house in Delaware, when she heard some soft sobs coming from a hole in a log. It turns out, that a white-grey kitten was sitting there, which at first glance, seemed to be all alone. He cried, calling for mom…The girl was afraid to take the baby, because she thought, that the cat might come back.
But in the evening, Morgan decided to check how the pet was doing. He was still alone, so it became obvious, that the little one needed help!
The girl didn’t abandon the kitten, who was still barely audible crying. She looked like, as if she was a couple of days old. The cat’s eyes didn’t have time to open and she was already dying of hunger.
Morgan gave the animal the nickname Polly. When the girl brought the baby home, the first thing she did was bathe it in the sink. And at the moment her twelve-year-old dog Paxton watched the owner with interest.
The pet fell in love with Polly at first sight and began to look after her. He washed the baby after each feeding and she really liked his big and affectionate friend.
Five weeks later, Polly opened her eyes. By that time, Paxton and the kitten were crazy about each other. She began to look after the dog, considering him to be something like a brother. It was absolutely normal for the animals. Perhaps the cat didn’t even know, that she was a cat?

The Labrador and Polly became inseparable friends. Now the kitten is five months old and Paxton is almost thirteen years old, but their relationship is still very strong. The dog is infinitely patient with his friend, even when she steals his favourite toys.
We hope, that this wonderful pet friendship will last for many more years! May both be healthy and cheerful.
