Have you ever met a fowl so joyful to see a person?
When you think of a trusty animal that is on cloud nine to meet you when you reach home, you possibly think of your dog. Or perhaps your cat? But one Texas teenager is welcomed every day by a trusty as well as loving fowl.
Fowls do not have a reputation for being the perfect pets. Many fowls are offensive as well as generally far from being tender, unless you are talking about a unique fowl named Frog.
This is Savannah Burns 13. Her closest companion Frog has been living with her family in Atlanta, Texas for nearly a year now.
Frog received his uncommon name because of the feathers on his legs. Feathers prevent him from walking, so he jumps a little. Savannah’s brother spotted that the fowl jumped like a frog, so the name originated.
But the feathery legs of Frog were not the only unusualness of this fowl. In place of socializing with other chickens, Frog chose to communicate with humans. He was much more curious about what people were doing than what his feathered companions were doing.
Frog and Savannah rapidly became fellows. Savannah took him to the farm with her while she did chores, and Frog even sat at the kitchen table while Savannah did the dishes. Frog enjoys spending time with Savannah while she reads or watches TV as well.
Savannah has a powerful connection with most animals but what she shares with Frog is exceptional. And lately, Frog shows every day how much he adores her when she leaves home for school and then returns.
Every morning, Frog accompanies Savannah to the bus stop right outside the entrance. He waits for her to return home, and when he hears the bus coming, he runs to the road to welcome her. Savannah’s mom, Holly, recorded this unique daily encounter.
Frog is so eager to be reunited with Savannah that if she gets off the bus fast enough, he will come up to pick her up. Happily, the bus driver knows Frog well. The driver makes sure this amiable fowl is out of the way before he drives off.
Savannah and Frog have a unique companionship. Look at Frog’s excitement as he runs to salute his fellow! Have you ever met a fowl so joyful to see a person?
