The romantic comedy Shotgun Wedding, which was recently released in the US, could potentially be the last film in the career of the 53-year-old actress.
Jennifer Lopez revealed that a near-fatal stunt almost cost her life during filming.
In one of the key scenes, Jennifer’s wedding dress gets caught in the wheel of a car, as per the plot.
During one of the takes, Lopez suddenly realized that the car was dragging her toward the edge of a cliff, and she was unable to break free.
“I honestly thought it was the end,” the actress recalled. “I looked at Josh and said, ‘Please don’t let go of me.’”
Josh Duhamel, 50, who played her on-screen fiancé, held on tight to her, reassured her, and helped pull her out of the dangerous situation.
“I’ve got you. If you fall, we’re both going down together,” Jennifer remembered her co-star saying.
Interestingly, Josh himself had a close call while filming.
The actor thought he was safe while trying to capture footage of some beautiful waves. But one wave came dangerously close to sweeping him off the cliff. Josh later admitted he was just lucky to escape unharmed.
