A wedding in Cyprus has captured worldwide attention after the bride appeared wearing a veil so extraordinary that it earned a place in the Guinness World Records.
The bride, Maria Paraskeva, decided to turn her big day into something truly unforgettable. Instead of a traditional bridal look, she chose a dramatic veil that stretched an astonishing 692.5 meters.

Creating such an enormous piece required an incredible amount of work. Around 7,000 meters of fabric were used to produce the veil, and a team of seamstresses spent three months carefully crafting the unique design.
Even laying the finished veil out in its full length required serious coordination. About 30 people were needed just to spread it out evenly.
For Maria, however, the idea was not spontaneous. She revealed that she had dreamed about having an unbelievably long wedding veil since childhood. Even as a young girl, she hoped one day to enter the Guinness World Records with the longest veil ever worn by a bride.

During the ceremony, the moment looked almost surreal. As Maria walked forward, a large group of people followed behind her carrying the massive veil that stretched for hundreds of meters.
It turned the wedding into a spectacle that immediately caught attention both locally and online.
A video from the ceremony quickly began circulating on the internet. While many viewers were amazed by the scale of the veil and the effort behind it, others reacted with confusion and questioned why someone would go to such lengths for a wedding accessory.
Still, whether people admired it or not, Maria Paraskeva’s wedding look achieved exactly what she had dreamed of since childhood — a place in the record books.
