The couple reached their hotel by water taxi, instantly drawing attention with their coordinated but relaxed looks.
Amal, 48, stepped out in a striking malachite-green satin playsuit with shorts, layered beneath a matching long blazer. George, 65, opted for a more understated combination of a black polo shirt and crisp white chino trousers.

The actor also showed his gentlemanly side as they stepped off the boat. George held Amal’s hand and carefully helped his wife out of the water taxi while photographers captured their arrival.

Venice is hardly unfamiliar territory for the couple. They spend part of their time at their 15-bedroom villa on Lake Como, only a few hours away, where they live with their nine-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander.

George himself has a long history with the Venice Film Festival, stretching back nearly three decades to his appearance with *Out of Sight*. Last year, he returned to present ‘Jay Kelly’.

This visit, however, comes with an especially significant moment for the Hollywood star. Clooney is set to receive the Golden Lion honoring his contribution to world cinema, with actress Laura Dern, his co-star in last year’s film, expected to present him with the award.
