On April 9 a Sydney resident Alison Pierce posted a touching story about a homeless man named Chris and his rat on Facebook, which was always with him. The woman constantly passed by the place, where this couple was sitting on the way to work. They were very cute. But one day Alison noticed, that Chris is worried and his rat isn’t near him, there was only a note: “My rat Lucy was stolen on Saturday. Lucy is black and white and a little brown. Chris”.

A woman, who often saw Chris and Lucy on the way to work, Alison Pierce, knowing about the missing rat, immediately wrote a touching post on Facebook. In which she wrote about their wonderful relationship, and also called on Sydney residents to help find Lucy.
The post got 20 thousand reposts and 6 thousand comments with swear words in relation to the hypothetical kidnapper and discussed a possible plan to find the animal.
At a result, it was the police who helped, using surveillance cameras to find the kidnapper
They thought she was completely benevolent woman, who upon seeing a rat, considered it lonely and unhappy, so she took the poor animal for herself. She turned out to be one of the few, who didn’t know about Chris and Lucy.
On April 18 (2 weeks after the disappearance) Chris was invited to the office, where the alleged Lucy was shown

The touching reunion moment!
“She recognizes me!”-happy Chris says. A satisfied and slightly embarrassed man even asked for forgiveness from the police for the time taken for his little misfortune. But they convinced Chris, that they were happy to help him.
So, the world is not without good people, and even the abduction in this story came from good intentions!
