Ivanka Trump certainly didn’t hold back when it came to dressing for the latest round of formal events. She appeared in a series of carefully chosen looks alongside her 15-year-old daughter, Arabella Kushner — but this time, the teenager proved she could command plenty of attention on her own.
For a state dinner bringing together the top ranks of the US administration with the Chinese president and his wife, Ivanka turned to designer Georges Hobeika. She chose an icy-blue couture gown worth around $6,000, built around a strapless silhouette with a sculpted corset bodice and a glossy satin skirt.
The upper half was easily the most elaborate part of the design. Intricate embroidery covered the corset, while shimmering crystal fringe softened the structured shape and moved with Ivanka as she walked. The result was glamorous, detailed and unmistakably designed for a major occasion.

Standing beside her, however, Arabella went in the opposite direction. The 15-year-old wore a minimalist black dress with thin straps and a plunging neckline. Smoky eye makeup gave the teenager an especially mature appearance, creating a striking contrast with her mother’s heavily embellished couture.
The mother and daughter delivered another coordinated fashion moment during the official visit. This time, Ivanka appeared in an embroidered pale-blue creation by Chinese designer Guo Pei. The fitted dress was paired with a structured, intricately decorated bolero, giving the outfit a more covered-up but still distinctive silhouette.
Arabella again kept things elegant, choosing a white Self-Portrait dress. With Ivanka in pale blue and her daughter in crisp white, their second appearance was considerably more modest — but once again, the 15-year-old managed to hold her own beside her famously fashion-conscious mother.
