Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas have been together for decades, but their latest photos suggest romance is hardly a thing of the past. The Hollywood couple celebrated their birthdays on the same day, September 25, and marked the occasion with unusually affectionate messages to each other.
The coincidence has always been part of their love story. Catherine turned 57, while Michael celebrated his 82nd birthday. Despite the 25-year age difference, they share exactly the same birthday and have been married since 2000.
Catherine chose a particularly personal photo for the occasion. She shared an image of herself kissing her husband while the pair stood together in crystal-clear blue water. Wearing a blue swimsuit and sunglasses, the actress wrapped herself around Michael, who posed shirtless beside her.
“Happy birthday darling! A birthday kiss for my husband Michael — sharing this special day with you is as special as the day itself. I love you,” Catherine wrote alongside the romantic snapshot.
Michael responded with an equally emotional tribute. He posted a photograph of the couple together on the red carpet and included an excerpt from his upcoming memoir. Looking back at the first time he saw Catherine on a movie screen, he admitted he had never fallen for anyone quite like that before.
He described Catherine as “magical,” explaining that what captivated him went far beyond her beauty. Michael said he became convinced that she was the woman he wanted to spend his life with.
