Long way home
The city of Christchurch in New Zealand was the home of a puppy until a tragedy happened back in 2011, as a result f which the dog lost its home.
It somehow appeared itself in the city of Auckland, where he wandered to different families, shelters, and it had even been homeless for some time. The sad dog caught the attention of the volunteers. They decided to find a permanent home for Duke.
One volunteer contributed in the process of returning the dog home to Christchurch to find the old owners or to transfer the animal into good hands. So, after so many years, he returned home.
Thanks to the Internet, his story has spread all over the world. Now there are many people who want to take care of the dog. Duke is many years old and he needs a quiet doggy life. At the moment he is overexposed before getting into his new home. He needs some time to recover from sterilization. We should be glad that there are so many caring people in the world. This gives a hope that the loneliness of the pet will soon end.
