A 12-year-old Canadian, whose name is Nathan Rushkin went on a hike with his father Dion. They were walking through a nature reserve in the Alberta desserts and discovered the remains of a real dinosaur.

Nathan has been interested in dinosaurs since the age of six.

I was speechless. I wasn’t even too worried, although I probably should have. I was just shocked to find a real dinosaur, ”the child mentioned.

The bones found by the boy are estimated to be 69 million years old.

They were like bones which were turned into stone. You can’t confuse this with anything. It seemed to be a part of the thighbone sticking right out of the ground, ”says the boy’s father.

Scientists have determined that the remains belonged to a hadrosaur, one of the so-called “platypus” dinosaurs that lived in the Cretaceous period.
