Sometimes a tiny kitten can become a real surprise for you not only when it is given to you in a beautiful box on your birthday, but also if you accidentally find it in the yard of your own house. Such a story happened to the residents of the American state of Tennessee.
The young family recently moved to the city of Nashville and were engaged in the improvement of their new home, where they found two newborn kittens. The abandoned babies were immediately taken to the Cat Rescue Center. The caring volunteer Kiki wanted to give the babies to foster parents as soon as possible; cats Olivia and Pickle, which recently became mothers, raised their kittens and were inseparable.

The mothers warmly welcomed the foster kittens, which were only 2 weeks old. The kids were given the nicknames Apricot and Pretzel which are brought up in a shelter by two caring mothers.
But this story touched the public not only thanks to the mercy of feline mothers and shelter staff but also because of the fact that one of the found babies was born with a very unusual appearance. A kitten which was named Apricot was born with a genetic trait called “feline chimera”. This means that the kitten’s coat has a unique color, and its muzzle is divided into two colors; red and black.
Apricot was born with a rare natural phenomenon that makes its appearance very unique.
Chimera cats have an unusual appearance as their cells contain two types of DNA. This means that during the development period two embryos merged into one, and such a two-faced kitten like Apricot was born.
This cutie became everyone’s favorite.

However, all kittens are equal for Olivia and Pickle and they take care of all their babies equally.
The rescue service found the caring mothers a few months earlier and took them to the shelter. Olivia and Pickle turned out to be very friendly, so the shelter staff didn’t separate them and they even planned to give them for adoption into one family. In the meantime, two mothers raise the kittens together and prepare to become favorite pets caring people.
Mommy’s kittens, along with Apricot and Pretzel, will also be ready to go home to their new owners as soon as they grow up a little!
