The nature of our planet is incredible, diverse and so amazing. In a variety of different but very strange animals, something may be a real discovery for us.

The helmeted hornbill or the helmeted kalao is a species from the family of hornbills, which can be found in the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo.

The long-eared jerboa is a nocturnal rodent of the Jerboa family, with a long tail, long hind legs and exceptionally large ears.

The striped tenrec is a bright animal from Madagascar, which is a representative of the special order Afrosorecida.

Many species of Fulgoroidea insects secrete a waxy secretion that sometimes hardens into long filaments. These threads can provide protection from predators who pounce on them, mistaking them for the body of their prey. The threads break, saving the insect’s life.

Trigonognathus kabeyai is the only existing species of the genus Trigonognathus of the etmopteraceae family. It is distributed in the northwestern and central Pacific Ocean at depths of up to 360 m.

The Malay Woolenwing is a species of mammals from the order of Woolwing. It is the only one in the genus Galeopterus.

The Ganges gavial is a large reptile belonging to the order of crocodiles. The name comes from a distorted Hindi घड़ियाल, which simply means “crocodile”. The gavial is a unique animal among modern crocodiles.
