Each dog needs his own approach especially if the animal is different from his fellows. Such pets need not only to be trained in their own way but they even need to be waken up uniquely!
The American Aidan Mann showed how he showed his deaf and visually impaired doggy named Plum that it was time to get up. She doesn’t hear his voice and his touches frighten her so the owner found his own way.
The owner showed how he lives with his deaf and partially blind cute doggy.
The American Aidan Mann became the owner of a miniature Australian Shepherd named Plum in June 2019. The dog was 5 months old at that time and she was deaf from birth and saw almost nothing.
Plum lived on overexposure with Aidan’s colleague and when the future owner saw her he “fell in love the very next second.”
I didn’t know exactly what I was getting when taking my cutie home but I knew that I loved her and I just wanted to give her a good life.
Plum became Aidan’s second dog.
5 years ago the guy became the owner of a cross between a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and a Great Dane named Lola.
Naturally, taking care for a doggy like Plum is different from the usual cases.
Aidan told about Plum’s execution of his commands.
We have something like a “sit” command – I touch her under the chin and when I want her to walk in a certain direction I just gently point her nose in the right direction or run my hand over her body in the right direction.
Aidan is often asked how he wakes up Plum.
This turned out to be one of the first problems Aidan faced with. He tried to stroke her lightly but even the softest touch frightened her. Then the man invented even a more cunning maneuver- a piece of delicacy was placed under Plum’s nose but it turned out to be not so effective.
But the perfect way was found!
First, Aidan lies down in front of Plum and then blows lightly on her nose. The doggy wakes up and immediately rushes to his favorite owner.
We don’t have to worry about Plum with such a caring and kind owner!
