One cold December morning a man was walking through the forest and found six little bald puppies. The poor puppies looked terrible and hugged each other to keep warm. It was clear, that their mother isn’t close to them, and in this situation they won’t last long. The man took them to local shelter of state Alana and gave puppies to specialists. Vets were shocked by the condition of their new patients and couldn’t even determine the breed. They assumed, that they were Cocker Spaniels, but how wrong they were!
Last December, a passionate passerby brought six bald puppies to an Alabama shelter
Shelter staff was shocked by the condition of the animals and immediately took up their treatment. The babies had practically no hair and the skin was cracked and began to peel off.
Veterinarians suggested, that they were dogs of a small breed
It was found, that the puppies have scabies, and they were also emaciated and very cold. In appearance, it was difficult to understand what breed these babies belong to. Experts weighed them and decided that they were in front of small cocker spaniels.
The babies were cured of scabies and were sent to foster families, where they continued to live
Puppies began to recover little by little and grow furry. The new owners continued to perform the healing procedures and feed them. They were actively gaining weight and after a while it became clear, that these were not cocker spaniels.
Veterinarians couldn’t say for sure, what breed this beauties belong to and did a DNA test
It turned out to be purebred puppies of the Pyrenean mountain dog
Dogs of this breed are impressive in size and have excellent herding skills. On average, they grow up to 70 centimetres at the withers and weight 50 kilograms.
New owners show how puppies have grown in just a couple of months
Now it’s hard to believe, that they were little balm lumps
These puppies shocked everyone with their incredible transformation. Now they are beautiful, active and very happy. All this thanks to a caring passerby, shelter specialists and caring owners.
