There are no meetings by chance, and this is now known for sure by Keith Howard, chef-redactor of the Kentucky Centre for Investigative Journalism. On October 15, she tweeted a thread with a story about how an unknown dog came to her yard and calmly lay down on the grass. But it turned out to be not so unknown. The answer turned out to be the nickname, having heard it, the woman realised, that they already met. And it’s very sweet and touching.

Keith was sitting on the porch, when she saw a woman walking the dog. They stopped in her yard and the dog lay down on the grass. She was pretty, brown with white spots. The dog was not going to leave and the owner called her. “Winnie”! She screamed. And then something clicked in Keith’s head. After all, a year ago she took the puppy for overexposure

The woman cried for 3 days, when Winnie was spayed and taken to find a home
Kate was very worried about the animal, which she took care of for some time. The woman even asked the shelter to return Winnie to her, if there was no good owner. She talked to the stranger and found out, that in November last year she adopted a dog named Winnie and didn’t change it so that she wouldn’t get confused and retrain. The new owner said, that after the death of her dog, she saw a photo of Winnie on the Internet and immediately fell in love.

It turns out, that Keith moved into this house just a couple of months ago, and now she lives a block from Winnie. Her new owner promised to visit, so that they could see each other. Keith has a dog, named Foxy, but there are not walking yet-the baby was injured after the moving.

Twitter users couldn’t be touched by this thread. She got more, than 92 thousand likes and more than 15 thousand reposts. In the comments, some talked about their pets, that they picked or took. I hope there were more such stories with a good ending!
