This ginger dog is similar to other dogs, that live in Bangkok. Local people call these dogs “courtyards”, because they live in all courtyards of the city.
Nevertheless, no one could imagine, that one of these dogs, named Pugh would become so notable to many people in the city, due to its extraordinary intelligence!
One day Pugh wandered in Bangkok, as he had no correct intention. He was walking through one of the city roads.
As many dogs Pugh loved landfills and went there. And an unfamiliar sounds, that were coming from the trash bin attracted his attention.
As the pet was interested in that sound, he crawled there and noticed a box. Taking the box with its teeth (although it was very heavy), Pugh took it to the nearest yard.
When he reached the people he put the secret box on the floor and started to bark loudly, in order people to hear.
Due to its barks one of the residents of the house went out to see what happened. At first, she decided to chase the dog away, but noticed the box, which was put near the dog and heard the sound coming from it.
The woman thought there would he kittens, that someone throw into the trash. And she was amazed, when she opened the box and saw what was there…. a living body of a baby!
But the kid was in a very bad condition, its body was all blue and it could hardly breathe.
The dog sat near the baby and it seemed, that Pugh was protecting his finding. The resident immediately called the police and an ambulance, and they took the baby to the hospital.
Now everything is okay, the doctors could save him. Doctors say, that only a brave step of the dog helped the baby to survive, if the dog wouldn’t have taken the baby for several kilometres to the people, it would definitely died.
Journalists knew about this situation and Pugh became a true hero. Even the mayor of the city knew about this wonderful dog.
And he ordered to give the dog a collar with its name. Now everyone would recognise the heroic dog. This story is a true example of how loyal and smart dog can be. And its true saying, that the dog is man’s best friend.
