Tom has a particular fondness for weddings—if he spots a couple getting married, he just can’t resist. Newlyweds end up with memorable photos featuring the famous actor.
Recently, Hanks happened to come across a bride, Grace Gwaltney, who was posing with her bridesmaids for her wedding album.
The actor spontaneously joined the group, taking everyone by surprise, especially Grace.
The bride was so overwhelmed with happiness that she nearly shed tears when Tom put his arm around her waist. She seemed barely able to contain her excitement.
Grace wore a simple wedding dress, while her bridesmaids wore red gowns. Tom appeared to be out for a casual stroll.
Later, the photographer shared her experience of the delightful encounter with reporters.
“We were walking from the hotel to the limo when, out of nowhere, Tom Hanks appeared and asked, ‘Hi, I’m Tom Hanks. Can I get a photo with the bride?’ We were all speechless. He’s every bit as warm and charming as people say,” shared Rachel.
The photographer added that Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson, was also there but preferred to stay out of the photos. She simply snapped pictures of her husband with the bride and wished the newlyweds a wonderful, happy life. One can only imagine how many similar snapshots are stored in Rita’s phone!
