Ivanka Trump is usually associated with polished tailoring, elegant resort wear and carefully put-together looks. But for a night out with friends, she suddenly switched direction and stepped out in an outfit few would probably expect to find in her wardrobe.
The occasion was a Jelly Roll concert, where Ivanka abandoned her more restrained style for a complicated, attention-grabbing knitted dress. The upper section featured strategically placed cutouts alongside colorful ethnic-inspired embroidery, immediately giving the look a much bolder character.
Things became even more daring below the waist. A crochet skirt created a semi-sheer effect, while long swinging fringes ran across the design and added even more texture and movement. With embroidery, transparency, cutouts and fringe appearing together, the dress certainly wasn’t designed to blend into the crowd.
The unexpected outfit came shortly after Ivanka’s photogenic vacation, where she had leaned heavily into a sweet and polished resort wardrobe. That included an elegant look by Israeli designer Shani Shemer, making her dramatic concert transformation even more noticeable.

Her latest statement piece was created by designer Andrea Almeida and handmade in a Brazilian studio. The brand describes its creations as “wearable works of art,” combining techniques such as knitting and beadwork.
Whether this particular creation ranks among Ivanka’s strongest fashion choices is open to debate, but subtle was clearly not the objective. After several sophisticated vacation outfits, she chose one evening to bring out a much wilder side—and the sheer crochet, revealing cutouts and dramatic fringe made sure it wouldn’t go unnoticed.
