Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are looking increasingly comfortable in the spotlight as a couple. The 41-year-old singer stepped out alongside the 54-year-old former Canadian prime minister, giving photographers another rare look at their romance.
Katy commanded attention in a dramatic white asymmetric velvet gown by Christian Siriano. The unusual silhouette put the focus firmly on the singer, who kept her accessories minimal with delicate earrings and a small silver clutch.
Trudeau went in a much more traditional direction, wearing a classic black suit with a crisp white shirt. Standing together, his understated look created a sharp contrast with Katy’s sculptural white gown.
The couple have now reportedly been together for more than a year. Romance rumors first exploded last summer when they were spotted having dinner together. Trudeau was subsequently seen attending one of Perry’s concerts, while paparazzi later captured the pair kissing aboard a yacht in Santa Barbara.
Their relationship began not long after Perry’s split from Orlando Bloom. The singer and actor had been together for nine years and share their five-year-old daughter, Daisy.
Trudeau was previously married to Sophie Grégoire. The former couple separated after 18 years of marriage, with their split preceding his increasingly public romance with Perry.
