Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are no longer keeping their relationship in the shadows. The 41-year-old singer and the 54-year-old former Canadian prime minister arrived together at the opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles on Saturday evening — and their body language made their feelings difficult to miss.
In front of the cameras, the couple stayed close to each other throughout their appearance. They repeatedly exchanged smiles and naturally leaned toward one another, looking relaxed and increasingly comfortable showing their relationship publicly.
Perry chose an elegant white off-the-shoulder velvet gown by Christian Siriano from the Spring 2027 collection. Trudeau kept things classic beside her in a black suit and a white shirt worn with the collar open.
After posing for photographers, the pair headed inside to explore the museum together. Among the exhibits that caught their attention were vehicles from the “Star Wars” universe.
The opening attracted an extraordinary celebrity crowd. Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Emma Watson and Kim Kardashian were among the guests. Perry’s former partner Orlando Bloom was also present — adding an interesting twist to an already very public date night.
Rumors surrounding Perry and Trudeau first emerged in July 2025 after they were spotted having dinner together in Montreal. What initially appeared to be a series of discreet meetings gradually developed into a serious relationship. They made their red-carpet debut as a couple in June this year at the Tribeca Festival, attending the premiere of Perry’s concert film “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris.” Perry has since described Trudeau as the “love of my life.”
The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art was founded by 82-year-old “Star Wars” creator George Lucas and his 57-year-old wife, Mellody Hobson. Located in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park, the museum opens to the public on September 22 and focuses on visual storytelling, with a collection spanning illustration, comics, photography, film art and movie props.
