Reese Witherspoon turned the Nashville Film Festival into a full family affair. The Hollywood actress arrived surrounded by some of the people closest to her, but this time she wasn’t there to promote one of her own projects.
The spotlight belonged to her 22-year-old son, Deacon Phillippe, who was celebrating the premiere of his debut film, “Brother Save Us.” Reese came along to support him as he marked an important new step in his career.
The red carpet also produced a rare three-generation family appearance. Reese was joined by her mother, Betty Reese, as well as her eldest daughter, Ava Phillippe, and youngest son, Tennessee Toth.
Before the screening began, the family gathered together in front of photographers, creating an unusual group portrait spanning three generations.
Ava and Deacon are Reese’s two children from her first marriage to actor Ryan Phillippe. Their parents later separated, but both children have increasingly stepped into the public eye as adults.
Reese welcomed Tennessee during her marriage to Hollywood agent Jim Toth. The couple eventually ended their marriage in 2023.
This time, however, the evening was entirely about family support. With his mother, grandmother and siblings by his side, Deacon got to celebrate his first movie premiere with virtually the whole family gathered around him.
