When they feel anxiety and threat, they swell and expand their body, taking a more aggressive appearance.

As these frogs are considered to be a burrowing species, they mainly live in forests, and don’t even have the necessity of much water!

This gloomy froggy is not really disappointed or sad – it just looks like that.

The creatures are not large. They are only 4-5 cm long, with a round body on their thin legs.

During the mating season, the female leaves out a sticky substance from its back. It doesn’t want to let its partner go off.

What concerns malea, during the mating season they sit in a burrow and make short squeaking sounds for attracting the females.

The male frogs “sing” songs, which attract females, and the females lay 42-43 eggs in a nest, which is then guarded by the male until the frogs hatch.

This is how black rain frogs squeak hysterically when they anticipate the danger. Just listen …
