Rodrigo was born on July 30, 1983, in São Paulo, Brazil, to a Brazilian mother and a British father with Portuguese heritage. Coming from a well-off family, Rodrigo’s father managed a thriving farming business that later grew into a network of supermarkets, real estate agencies, and retail properties. As a young child, Rodrigo loved playing with dolls and often enjoyed dressing up in girls’ clothing. His parents were accepting, and his father would regularly gift him Barbie dolls.
During his teenage years, Rodrigo was diagnosed with gynecomastia, a condition where excess estrogen causes the breast tissue to grow. At 17, he had his first surgery to remove his developed chest. Family and friends remember Rodrigo as a shy and reserved teen, making him an easy target for bullying at school. He spent most of his time alone, watching TV—especially drawn to Disney princess movies and dolls. Over time, he developed an ideal image in his mind, one that would later inspire his future transformations.
Rodrigo inherited a large sum of money from his paternal grandparents, which enabled him to undergo additional surgeries after his initial procedure. This first step eventually led to a series of more than fifty surgeries, with some sources suggesting the number might exceed one hundred. After finishing school, Rodrigo moved to London and studied public relations at the London College of Communication. His ultimate dream? To become the “real-life Ken doll.” To reach this goal, he underwent numerous surgeries, including facelifts, brow lifts, rhinoplasties, silicone muscle implants, and even had his lower ribs removed to create a slimmer waistline. As he was prone to weight gain but didn’t enjoy exercising, Rodrigo opted for several liposuction procedures instead.
Rodrigo’s fame quickly spread, and he began appearing on talk shows not only in South America but also in Europe. His story caught the attention of numerous media outlets, and his photos circulated widely across the internet. The “Human Ken Doll” started earning money from these TV appearances, only to spend it on even more procedures.
However, things didn’t always go as planned. After yet another rhinoplasty, Rodrigo’s health took a serious turn—he had trouble breathing, and necrosis (tissue death) began developing on his face. He had to undergo emergency surgery to save his life. This terrifying experience kept him in recovery for months, but he continued sharing his journey on various TV shows with the same enthusiasm.
