Kim Kardashian is facing another wave of criticism after a new video of her 13-year-old daughter, North West, sparked debate over the teenager’s appearance. Some viewers claimed the clip looked overly edited and questioned why North’s facial features appeared different.
In the TikTok video shared on the mother-daughter account, North dances to Rihanna’s 2006 hit “SOS.” She embraces a gothic-inspired look with a long blue wig, black leather clothing and dramatic makeup.
Instead of focusing on her dancing, however, viewers quickly zeroed in on her nose. Heavy contouring appeared to change its shape, prompting speculation about whether makeup, filters or editing had altered her appearance.
One commenter wrote, “The way she contours her beautiful nose makes me so sad. What is even happening here??” Another criticized the adults around North, arguing that a teenager should not be made to feel that her natural features need changing.
Others defended North, pointing out that experimenting with makeup, hairstyles and bold fashion is hardly unusual during the teenage years.

This isn’t the first time North’s style choices have put Kim’s parenting under scrutiny. In August 2025, the teenager attracted attention after getting a microdermal piercing on a finger. Critics raised concerns about her age and possible scarring or infection.
North later made it clear that the criticism wasn’t bothering her. In December, she responded with a sarcastic TikTok aimed directly at those who were still complaining about her finger piercing.
