Kai Trump is beginning her freshman year at the University of Miami, and now Donald Trump’s 18-year-old granddaughter has given followers a full look inside her new life in Florida. She filmed a video tour of her apartment after admitting that so many people had been desperate to see where she lives.
Kai didn’t hide how fortunate she feels. Calling the apartment “really cool,” she admitted she is “incredibly, insanely lucky” to have a place like this during her first year. She also joked about how good it feels to return to a home where nobody is waiting for her.
The tour began in the kitchen, which Kai described as her favorite area because she “eats a lot.” The apartment also features a white sofa, television, a panoramic New York City photograph and what she called its “coolest” feature — a fireplace. She went on to reveal a guest bathroom, a study for homework and a spacious bedroom complete with a walk-in closet and private bathroom.
Personal touches are scattered throughout the home. Framed memories include pictures from trips to Aspen, Colorado, as well as a photograph of Kai riding in a golf cart with her grandfather, President Donald Trump.
Living alone has taken some adjustment. Kai revealed that she has already returned several times to her family home in Jupiter, Florida, where her golf equipment, coaches and mentors remain. Whenever her schedule gives her a free day, she tries to head back. Despite college offering plenty of opportunities to have fun, she stressed that golf remains her priority: “I’m here for golf, not partying, so I think that’s okay.”
Her first weeks haven’t been entirely smooth. Kai has dealt with strep throat and a sinus infection after previously suffering food poisoning, adding another challenge to an already demanding schedule of classes and golf training.
The move itself was emotional too. In an earlier video documenting her arrival in Miami, Kai broke down while preparing to say goodbye to her family. “I’m not an emotional person at all, so it’s so crazy for me to cry,” she admitted, adding that knowing she would have to leave everyone that evening was “really hard.”
